Having a scar is bad. Having it on your face is worse. Now imagine, if you are a guy, how many other issues this can lead to. First, you have no option but to shave every morning. Wondering why? Because, the scarred portion will not sprout a stubble. So, if the rest of your face has a stubble, and the scarred portion doesn’t, it’s going to look odd, to say the least. This will also attract unwanted attention, leading you to answer unnecessary questions.
So, to cut a long story short, not being able to grow facial hair due to a scar is not the most pleasant experience.
Men become upset on not being able to grow facial hair on the scarred areas. It becomes a question of their masculinity. Scars can, as well, be constant reminders of the traumatic incident one had to face in their past. While they may empower some individuals, others cringe at the view of them. We want to get rid of them at the earliest. But it is not always possible. All scars, even after proper tending, will leave some residue.
But for men, there is a ray of hope if their scar in on their beard area. Until recently, it was next to impossible to grow hair on areas with second-degree burns or injury. But, advanced medical technologies like FUE hair transplant and fue beard transplant can address such issues. Now, not only you can grow hair on your injured area, but you can also hide the residual scars behind them, all thanks to beard transplantation.
With FUE technique launched into the medical industry in 2002, beard, moustache and side locks can be reconstructed even in scarred areas. In the beginning, if the skin in the target area appears dead, live skin from another place is harvested and placed in the affected area making beard transplantation effective. Once the skin on the area is fit for the growth of new hairs, the beard transplantation procedure can be performed. For this procedure, live hair follicles are harvested using a punch-tool that causes minimal damage to the skin. The harvested follicles, known as grafts are then implanted in the target area i.e. the burnt/injured skin. Within a week, the sutures dissolve, and the hair can be handled naturally regarding washing and styling. The implanted hair falls out after a fortnight and new hair, as good as natural hair, spurt out in a couple of months after the beard transplantation.
Mr. Dibakar (name changed) had an old suture scar on his chin where he could not grow a stubble. In the picture below, you can see how his beard grew after FUE hair restoration at Hair Sure.
Although beard transplantation is a new technique, it’s not a very complicated one. But for a perfect outcome, it takes a surgeon to be very skilful and diligent. The process is chiefly painless and local anaesthesia may be used on a requirement. Beard transplantation has been made safer and hygienic over the time. Even the after-care is hassle-free. The result is long-lasting and efficient. Your facial hair will look as natural as before when done by experts.
